Progressive Rock is my favorite all -time style of music.   With wonderful beginnings, middles and endings, each well crafted Prog Rock tune tells a story - at least to me it does.   I grew up listening to Gentle Giant, PFM, Genesis, Yes, Jethro Tull, King Crimson and many other Prog Rock bands, some so obscure you could wink and miss them.   This style of music is what my current project is all about. When I listen to the radio today I quickly change the station, searching in vain for music in this style.   I find myself saddened by promising musicians like Kevin Gilbert (Thud, The Shaming of the True, etc) whose lives are suddenly ended when you know they have so much more to give.   Michael W. Smith.   Yes, I listen to him.   Not for the gospel part - for the music.   What a truly great musician.   Some of his stuff borders on progressive under the guise of pop-gospel.   Well, that's my opinion anyway.   I plan on adding new tunes written this year to this section.   Check back once in awhile.
